Biography

On a life’s journey that started in Hong Kong and then took her to Canada, and eventually the United States, Lucia Au has met amazing people and been witness to many incredible things in her life. With her career as a design teacher, and wedding dress and evening gown designer, she has always brought out the
inner beauty of women through fashion, because she understands what it is that makes a person positively radiant from the inside out. This love, combined with a great awareness of how Chinese medicine is beneficial to the body, turned into a merger of Lucia’s soul and purpose. She found that through being a Certified Health Coach, she could help every person who longed for it, to receive a higher quality life.
Upon moving to the United States in 2007, Lucia noticed that so many people’s health needs were not being met by the Western medicine practices of the culture. It was a profound experience that brought her back to her roots, as well as the way she lived her life, and she knew that helping people to live vibrant, balanced lives was something that she must do. After all, why help people create happy moments through design if they couldn’t reflect on those events later in life.
Lucia graduated from the lucrative Professional Training and Certification Program from The Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City in 2013, and also holds a degree in Human Ecology from University of Manitoba in Manitoba, Canada. Further degrees include a Grading and Sorting of Rough Diamonds Diploma from the American Institute of Diamond Cutting, and a Fashion Design Diploma from the Fashion Institute of Hong Kong. Lucia has also been the recipient of several awards based on her design experience and has made appearances on numerous Canadian television shows such as CTV and CKND, while also being a contributor to Canadian Living Magazine and Style Manitoba Magazine. Now, she can also add author to her list of accomplishments as she shares the excitement of when Chinese medicine meets Western lifestyles.
Surrounding herself with her passions, Lucia is also an avid cook and well known by her neighbors, friends, and peers as an excellent French pastry chef. Those same people often refer to her as “Super Mom,” due to how she pursues everything she has with gusto. Her pride and joy are her four daughters, all who are successful in their chosen endeavors and have also given Lucia a name that she truly cherishes—that of Grandmother. With each day bringing the promise of adventure and a personal guarantee to give it her best, Lucia continues to blaze trails and help people connect
to the type of health that will allow them to go the distance in whatever it is they love
to do.
