Biography

Jocelyne F. Lafrenière is an international management consultant, strategist, business and life coach, trainer, and public speaker. She is the author of the truly inspiring book, Hello, Marvelous You, in which she genuinely shares her knowledge, experience, and wisdom to inspire people to create their best life.
Jocelyne is the President of JFL International, Inc. which offers a unique and transformational approach that combines leading-edge business advice with coaching and training, enabling enterprises, organizations, and individuals to achieve their goals and drive higher performance more rapidly.
For more than 25 years, Jocelyne has served as an advisor to United Nations agencies, government departments and agencies, businesses, and non-profit organizations around the world. She is a former partner of KPMG Canada, one of the world’s largest professional services firms, where she led the International Development Assistance Services of their Ottawa office.
She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and is a Chartered Professional Accountant and Certified Internal Control Auditor. She is a Certified Professional Success Coach and Neuro-Linguistic Programming Practitioner.
Jocelyne is known for her business acumen and her drive and passion. As a strategist and management consultant, she helps businesses move to the next level and achieve greater success. As a coach, she enables people from all walks of life to make shifts in their lives and achieve outstanding results. She is an energetic motivational public speaker and charismatic trainer. Her message of creating an enriched and meaningful life is truly inspirational.
Throughout her career, Jocelyne has actively championed the empowerment of women and the protection of children, as well as supporting education. Her love and commitment to disadvantaged individuals has no boundaries. She has been powerfully drawn to a number of opportunities to volunteer and assist with international development issues. Jocelyne is the Founder of the JFL Foundation that advances the lives of underprivileged people around the world through education and entrepreneurship.
She has played an active role in supporting women entrepreneurship. She is a former President of the Quebec Business Women’s Network, Outaouais region. Her investment in youth has been wide-ranging, from being a volunteer with Youth Action, to her role as a Board Member of Kids Connection Haiti (Canadian branch) and Save the Children Canada.
She has taught accounting and financial management at the Université du Québec à Gatineau, Algonquin College, and the Building Owners and Managers Association of Ottawa. She has also published several articles on contract compliance matters.
She champions human rights through the JFL Peace Movement. She is a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for her significant contribution to the community in Canada and abroad.
