Biography

Eric J. Christeson, CPA, MBA, PhD, DBA founded Dynamic Interface Systems Corporation (DISC) in 1982. As Chairman of the Board, Eric has spearheaded a team effort to cultivate strong sales and earnings growth while ensuring stability and long-term survival by acquiring or developing easy-to-learn, affordable,
technologically-advanced products to assist the financial lending industry.
Prior to leading DISC, Eric spent twenty years in senior financial and line management positions in both small and Fortune 100 companies. During his tenure as CFO of a troubled, high-tech electronics firm, Eric restructured and refinanced the firm that then regained its NASDAQ listing and subsequent acceptance on the American Stock Exchange (AMEX). His additional experiences include controller of the $400-million division of a Fortune 100 company and several years as a contractor with the U.S. Department of Defense.
While in the U.S. Air Force, Eric obtained a Top Secret Cryptographic “codeword” Clearance. He has a B.A. degree in Russian from Syracuse University, a B.S. degree in Accounting from San Jose State University, and an M.B.A. with a concentration in Marketing also from San Jose. Dr. Christeson’s Ph.D. in Economics and D.B.A. in Marketing Management both were conferred by Canterbury Christ Church University near London, England.
Despite a work ethic and schedule that would make lesser men cry “Uncle,” in 2004 Eric was met at the door by his wife and his son as he arrived home from the office. He was greeted with the words, “Alex wants to join the Cub Scouts, Dear.” Not one to shy away from a challenge, Eric began what he then-called his “second full-time job” as leader of a 160-youth Cub Scout pack for the Boy Scouts of America. Of his experiences in Boy Scouting, too numerous to mention, Eric says, “Scouting has changed my life forever, just as Scouting has changed the lives of boys everywhere forever.”
As often happens when one excels at one’s job, the Boy Scouts soon asked Eric to build a district leadership team as District Chairman—comprised of 6,000 youth and 2,500 adult leaders, for finance, training, membership, advancement, OA, camping and many more committees. He recently received the Silver Beaver Award from the Boy Scouts of America; “The Silver Beaver Award is made for service of exceptional character to boyhood by registered Scouters, Cubbers, and Explorer leaders…” Eric sums up his Boy Scouting experience by stating, “Nothing is more rewarding than watching a group of kids coming up the trail with smiling, dusty faces.”
In his free time outside of work and volunteering in Boy Scouting, Eric sits on the Board of Directors for several other organizations. He and his family have been quiet, contributing members of the Unity Church of Unity Village, Missouri for the past 12 years.
