Biography

Dan Janjigian is a national speaker to sales agents and managers regarding the art of the Cycle of Sales and leadership training. He’s been featured on ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox, plus CNN and the BBC, and has appeared nationally on Dan Rather, and World News with Peter Jennings. He’s a National Sales Director for Family Heritage
Life, and owns the Gridiron Financial insurance brokerage, based in Austin, Texas. Operating in eight states, Gridiron finished 2014 (last year) as the highest producing brokerage of over 400 organizations that sold the Family Heritage products, and also boasted 4 of the top 15 salespeople in all of the Family Heritage companies. As a manager, Dan has directly worked with and trained the top two current agents in FHL, and he also continues to personally sell, breaking the record for the most premium sold in the 26-year history of the company in April of 2014. He also owns the record for the most individual policies ever written in one week, at 94 policies.

Sales is not his singular skill. Dan was a professional bobsledder for nearly 10 years, competing from the US and Canada to all over Europe. In 2002, he raced in the Salt Lake City Olympic Games, and in 2004 was a Silver Medalist in the America’s Cup series. At the beginning of the millennium, Dan moved into acting, being accepted into the Howard Fine Acting School in Los Angeles. That led to roles in films such as Seabiscuit and The Longest Yard, as well as several indie films, but no film brought more notoriety than The Room, which turned into a major cult classic, was made into a top selling book, and now has been optioned to be remade by James Franco and Seth Rogin in 2015.
As a restaurateur, he was involved with the widely-popular Geisha House in Hollywood, California, partnering with Ashton Kutcher, Tara Reid and others, as well as running The Parish Room in Austin, Texas, highly regarded as one of the best music venues in the country. Other notable items were several appearances on Home Shopping Network and America’s Store, including appearances with Suzanne Summers, showing the power of WebTV, as well as being a winner on Wheel of Fortune in 2013.
Dan regularly speaks and coaches sales agents and managers on the Cycle of Selling, and how to increase sales and build cohesiveness within organizations. He’s also regularly spoken to schools on the power of pursuing dreams and how to go after your goals.
Dan is married to his wonderful wife Beca, and has three children, Jenica, Landon and Nevi. They live in the Austin area of Texas, where he still works directly in recruiting and training his personal sales teams around the United States.
