Biography

Cyndi Coon is a storyteller who sees the world in pictures. She connects with people to co-create big giant ideas as a thinker, experience producer and creativity advisor. She is a speaker, a writer, a teacher, a coach and a leader with contagious positivity and high energy! Cyndi is the Chief Experience Producer and Founder at Laboratory5 Inc.

Cyndi’s clientele includes many companies and organizations in the S.T.E.M + A (science, technology, engineering and mathematics plus art) Industries. Often she turns the M in STEM upside down, changes it to a W and lists many woman-focused companies as her clients (S.T.E.W.) She also delights in working with academic organizations, leading the transformation path of science as performance.

Cyndi is an expert in stealing, inventing and shopping for time, intuitive ideation, and using creativity to expose clarity and experiential magic. Clients work with Cyndi to think into the future, to deepen their process and to leap to the next level with their teams, their ideas and projects. Her naughty, rule-breaking approach keeps everyone on their toes. Her vision of the world melds with her clients need to be pushed and think bigger in order to bring to life transformational outcomes. She has a distinct way of thinking that offers a unique perspective and pushes the boundaries to give clients pure magic. She has the industry nickname of The Purveyor of WOW!

Cyndi loves to explore, hike, camp, listen to music, read and create in her studio or on-the-go with her traveling creativity kit. She leads a fun life where she lives and works in a creative space located in the Sonoran desert. Cyndi Coon received a Masters Degree in Fine Art from Arizona State University, Tempe, Arizona and a Bachelors of Fine Art Degree from Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Cyndi taught at Arizona State University at the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts. After years of teaching she has written the forthcoming book Professional Presence For Creatives, and co-written a book on professional creativity called Creative Clarity.
